  • Pupils should receive the same range and quality of education as they would have experienced at their home school.
  • Pupils unable to attend school because of health needs should be able to access suitable and flexible education appropriate to their needs.
  • The use of electronic media such as virtual classrooms and learning platforms can provide access to a broader curriculum.
  • Good communication with Sullivan staff and with a pupil’s home school will maintain good links and collaboration to ensure the right educational and therapeutic package is in place. It will also play a key role in the reintegration back into school successfully.
  • Information sharing between all stakeholders in vital at every stage of the process, with emphasis on a thorough admissions process.
  • Parents have a voice in their child’s education.
