Maths – Useful Websites for Year 10 and 11

The following websites are useful for all year 10 and year 11 students, especially those who would like to do some revision before the mock exams in December or the GCSEs in May-June.

Our school use Pearson Edexcel exam board, on most of the websites it will just be called Edexcel. The majority of the content is the same for any exam board so just concentrate on the topics.

Some of the websites refer to GCSE grades, students sit either a Foundation Paper where they can obtain grades 1-5 or a Higher Paper with grades 3-9.

Some of our students sit Entry Level maths (a pre-GCSE qualification), the focus here is on number, shapes, area, perimeter and data handling (bar charts, pictograms), these students will find sites like ‘Corbett Maths’ or ‘Maths Made Easy’ better as they can choose a topic rather than a grade.

Website Name Details

Corbett maths
https://corbettmaths.com/

A huge website with videos, questions, past papers and GCSE revision.

The videos are very good. The topics are arranged in alphabetical order.

Maths Genie
https://www.mathsgenie.co.uk/

This website has the maths topics arranged in grade order. The videos are not as good as Corbett maths, but the questions are similar to the questions on the GCSE paper.

Onmaths
https://www.onmaths.com/

This website has online questions and past papers.

You can only answer online, you have to pay to join if you want to download (don’t need to do this as there are lots of websites that offer free downloads or printing).

Maths Made Easy https://mmerevise.co.uk/

This website has content split into KS3 (years 7-9) and GCSE, both sections are useful for revision of topics covered throughout senior school.

The revise section is good for vocabulary, it explains the mathematical words that will be used in exam questions.
